Branko Đurić reaches the M25 Sharm El Sheikh semi-final

Branko Đurić’s week in Egypt ran in a straight line: third seed, hard court, four matches, and a stop in the semi-final. No title. A week in which he set the tempo — until he met the top seed.

The start was heavy. In the first round against Alexander Gammariello Branko dropped the opening set 3-6, then took the second-set tie-break to love, 7-6(0). The match ran past two hours, and at 1-0 in the third Gammariello retired. Branko went through.

The pattern changed after that. In the round of 16 Aristarkh Safonov went down 6-0, 6-2. In the quarter-final Chirag Duhan fell 6-3, 6-3: Branko did not drop serve, hit five aces, and won 84% of points on his first serve. On the ATP list of 5 October Branko is 502; the live ranking has him at 496. The career peak remains 448.

The semi-final on 26 September set the accent. Robert Strombachs, the top seed, closed it 6-4, 6-2. Branko’s serve still found the ace — three in the match — while Strombachs took three games on that serve and did not give his own away. Against the leader of the draw, a week that had followed Branko’s script ended on the other player’s scoreline.

Next is clay, Sardinia, Santa Margherita di Pula. Branko is entered in two M25 events in a row. From 12 to 17 October he is in the main draw, 11th on the acceptance list. A week later, 19–24 October, he is in qualifying, third seed. For a player whose season has been built on clay, that is a return to his surface after a hard-court week in Egypt.

In Niš, after World Group I Serbia vs Lithuania, the frame is simple: Branko Đurić in national colours, beside him — father and TS WINNER head coach Nenad Đurić. An arm on the shoulder. The same path from Budva: from the first courts to Serbia’s kit.

Branko was in the squad for this tie and did not play in the decisive rubbers. For the Đurić family that is no reason to leave the frame. Support is not measured in sets — it is measured by a father-coach staying beside you when the role is in the squad, not in the day’s scoreline.

Davis Cup World Group I in Niš closed 4–0 for Serbia. Day one: Miomir Kecmanović beat Edas Butvilas 7-5, 1-6, 7-5; Hamad Međedović beat Vilius Gaubas 6-4, 6-4. Day two: doubles Kecmanović / Stefan Latinović beat Gaubas / Butvilas 7-6, 3-6, 6-3; then Ognjen Milić beat Pijus Vaitiekunas 6-2, 6-2.

The team booked a place in the qualifiers for the 2027 Davis Cup Final 8. Branko Đurić was in Viktor Troicki’s squad with Kecmanović, Međedović, Milić and Latinović. He did not play in the rubbers — national-team points are taken on court.

For Branko this continues the February line: Serbia colours, team rhythm, the same pressure. The path from Budva is the same — including when the role is in the squad, not in the day’s scoreline.

Branko Đurić named for Serbia — Davis Cup World Group I vs Lithuania (Niš)

Captain Viktor Troicki named the squad for the Davis Cup World Group I tie: Serbia vs Lithuania, 19–20 September 2026 in Niš, Čair Sports Hall. Branko Đurić is on the list.

Alongside him: Miomir Kecmanović, Hamad Međedović, Ognjen Milić and Stefan Latinović. Without Novak Djokovic, Dušan Lajović and Laslo Đere. Of the younger players Troicki said they already have national-team experience — of Branko: that he has proven to be a strong team player.

The draw is at noon on 18 September. Day one (19 Sep) — two singles from 14:00; day two (20 Sep) — doubles and two singles from 13:00. The stake: a place in the qualifiers for the 2027 Davis Cup Final 8.

In February Branko already played for Serbia in the Qualifiers against Chile. The line continues — the same kit, the same pressure, this time at home.

Branko Đurić wins ITF M15 Kuršumlijska Banja (Serbia)

A trophy is not taken with a slogan. It is taken on days when the calendar’s pressure does not forgive mistakes. At M15 Kuršumlijska Banja (Serbia), Branko Đurić closed another loop of the season — calm, concrete, all the way.

In the final he beat Dmitry Popko of Kazakhstan. In the semi — Nikita Belozertsev of Uzbekistan. On the same ground this season already writes a line: two straight M15 titles in June, another cup on 30 August, and today a new one.

On the ATP live list the win has a clear echo — a return to the Top 500. Not a decorative footnote. Evidence that the rhythm holds.

The match is set for 6 September. Opponent — Dmitry Popko of Kazakhstan. Same name, same court, same pressure — and room to continue the season’s line.

Some cups come easily. This one did not. In the M15 Kuršumlijska Banja (Serbia) final Branko Đurić beat Dmitry Popko of Kazakhstan in three sets: 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.

When the score breaks, character remains. Branko held the match — and the cup.

Second straight M15 title in Kuršumlijska Banja (Serbia)

One week. Two cups. Same address. After the first title Branko Đurić did not slow down — he beat Andrea De Marchi of Italy 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 and took a second straight M15 in Kuršumlijska Banja.

That is a rhythm you do not improvise: a lost set, an answer, the finish.

Branko’s ITF season on this ground opens with a cup. At M15 Kuršumlijska Banja (Serbia) he beat Andrea De Marchi of Italy in the final — the first in a line of titles that would continue on the same clay through the summer.

Davis Cup is not just another event on the calendar. It is a kit, a team and pressure that a slogan cannot buy. In February 2026 Branko Đurić played for Serbia in the Qualifiers against Chile — in Santiago, on clay (Estadio Nacional).

In singles he faced Matías Soto. The match went three sets; the score is not a trophy, but the line is: national team, international level, the same method built from Budva. Alongside — a frame with the SRB squad.

Branko Đurić wins ITF M15 Alaminos (Cyprus)

Cyprus. Clay. Cup in hand — and father Nenad Đurić beside him on the podium. Branko Đurić won M15 Alaminos on the ITF World Tennis Tour without dropping a set.

Final vs Damien Wenger of Switzerland: 6-3, 6-2. A clean week, a clear signature — the same working line that runs from Budva to the international calendar.

Junior Grand Prix Upper Austria — trophy with father-coach

Cup in the son’s hands. Father beside him — not a guest in the stands, but the coach who ran the day. The Junior Grand Prix in Upper Austria is another proof of the same line: system, travel, character — and a family signature on court.

ITF J4 Podgorica — doubles title (w/ Lisandru Rodriguez)

On the ITF junior titles list it is clear: 2019, a doubles title at J4 Podgorica (G4, clay) — with Lisandru Rodriguez. This was Branko’s first ITF title — he was 14 at the time. Two cups are not decoration: a home-region doubles win and an early entry into the international junior calendar. The Riccardo Piatti academy kit on the frame is the context of that period.
